Winter 2025 Park Academy Series Introduced by Montgomery Parks
WHEATON, Md. – Montgomery Parks is proud to announce its Winter 2025 Park Academy Series, featuring a variety of fitness, wellness, and learning classes designed for participants of all ages. With classes throughout the county, Montgomery Parks aims to enrich community health and wellness.
Anne Levis, program specialist at Montgomery Parks, stated, ‘These classes make health and wellness available to everyone from toddlers to seniors and everyone in between.’
Overview of Available Classes
Various classes will be available, focusing on different aspects of health and fitness, including:
- POUND Fitness: A drumming-inspired cardio workout, available from January 8 to February 12, 2025, at Green Farm Maintenance Facility in Montgomery Village.
- Toddler & You Yoga: Classes featuring fun movement and yoga for toddlers and parents, available in two sessions starting December 5, 2024.
- Balance and Mobility: Designed for older adults, these classes will focus on balance and flexibility in a low-impact, energizing way.
- Breath and Movement Flow Yoga: Viniyoga-inspired flow yoga focusing on the breath, issued in two four-session programs each Saturday in January and February.
- Senior Fitness Test: This free class will measure endurance, strength, and flexibility for participants aged 55 and up.
- Introduction to Robotics and Coding: Aimed at children aged 11-13, this class encourages creativity through programming robots.
