What is PULSE, A Health & Wellness Fest For All?

Introduction to PULSE

PULSE, A Health & Wellness Fest For All is an exciting new event powered by Aurora Health Care and Milwaukee World Festival. It will take place on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Henry Maier Festival Park. The event is free and open to the public, offering a variety of activities aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles.

Activities and Attractions

Attendees can enjoy a range of activities including large and small group cardio workouts, a 30-minute HIIT session led by Green Bay Packers’ legend Donal Driver, yoga, and cooking demonstrations. DJ Shawna will keep the energy high with music throughout the day.

Cooking Stage Highlights

The Cooking Stage, sponsored by Pick ‘n Save with Kroger Delivery, will feature demonstrations by local chefs. Highlights include:

  • 10:15 a.m.: Chef Imani Graham presents Lobster & Grits
  • 11 a.m.: Chef Adam Pawlak presents Chipotle Tomato Carpaccio
  • 12:15 p.m.: Chef Dana Spandet presents Rustic Harvest Chili
  • 1 p.m.: Chef Ruta Kahate presents Green Bean Peanut Salad & Tricolor Salad
  • 2:30 p.m.: Chef T’yannah El presents Crispy Fried Vegan Chicken Sandwich

Lori Fredrich will be available to sign copies of her cookbook “Wisconsin Field to Fork” from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the OnMilwaukee tent.

Additional Activities

  • Zumba led by YMCA’s Dominique Johnson.
  • Interactive fitness experiences for all ages with various fitness organizations.
  • Over 50 health and wellness vendors offering resources and samples.
  • Panel discussions on mental health and family wellness.
  • A one-mile family walk with Girls on the Run.
  • Pickleball Village with workshops and open play.

Community Involvement

Attendees are encouraged to participate in the onsite Community Giveback, benefiting local organizations. Donations of deodorant, socks, and baby wipes are welcome.
