TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. – Tahoe Forest Hospital has been recognized by the California Health and Human Services Agency and Cal Hospital Compare for achieving and exceeding performance standards in important maternal health metrics for 2024. This recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality and compassionate care for mothers and their babies, solidifying its status as a leader in safe maternity care.

The hospital received accolades for excellence across five critical maternal health measures, which include:

  • Surgical site infections post-C-sections
  • Vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC)
  • Episiotomy rates
