Senior Planet from AARP has been empowering older adults for over a decade with free programs that emphasize lifelong learning and wellness. The Sponsored Athlete program aims to inspire individuals to incorporate physical activity tailored to their personal goals. These members will serve as spokespeople within the community, sharing insights and experiences to inspire others to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Tom Kamber, Executive Director of OATS from AARP, emphasized the importance of physical activity for healthy aging, stating, “The 2025 Senior Planet Sponsored Athletes are doing a significant service for our community. They will inspire countless older adults to pursue an active lifestyle, no matter their starting point.”

Throughout the year, the 2025 Athletes will engage with the Senior Planet community through various programs, including “Wellness Wednesdays,” providing actionable advice and sharing their fitness journeys.
