Roundup Runway Turns Fashion into Philanthropy
On March 13, the vibrant atmosphere of Chasing Rabbits in Vail was transformed into a hub of fashion and philanthropy as local models strutted their stuff for the Roundup Runway event, raising more than $147,000 for Roundup River Ranch.
The event showcased designs from renowned brands such as Grey Salt and Perch Vail/Elleston, with local celebrities and community members attending en masse. According to Sarah Johnson, president and CEO of Roundup River Ranch, the community’s response was overwhelming. ‘We are incredibly grateful to Perch Vail/Elleston and Grey Salt for selecting Roundup River Ranch as the beneficiary of this exciting new Roundup Runway event. The energy and generosity of the community were truly inspiring — selling out in just 24 hours and raising over $147,000,’ Johnson stated.

Approximately 20 local models volunteered their time to represent various brands, while the women were styled in fashionable pieces designed by Jonathan Simkhai, who attended the event. Johnson added, ‘A huge thank you to our amazing local models and designer Jonathan Simkhai, whose talent and style made this event shine. We were thrilled with the turnout and funds raised, especially for a more intimate event. This generous support will directly enhance our behavioral health and wellness programs, offering children with life-altering diagnoses to embrace joy, build connections and gain independence — completely free of charge.’

The evening also featured exclusive auction items, including tickets to Simkhai’s New York Fashion Week show and a VIP shopping experience at his Los Angeles flagship store, sold for $10,000 each.
Roundup River Ranch is a part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, founded by actor and philanthropist Paul Newman, which provides supportive programs for children with serious illnesses and their families around the globe.
