Nuhad Khoury, the founder and CEO of TIBA, has dedicated over three decades to introducing Nashville to rejuvenating spa treatments from around the globe. She has become a trusted source for all of her clients, from her very first beauty product store, Nuhad Khoury’s Cosmetics and Perfumery, to her various entrepreneurial and creative undertakings in the spa and wellness space. Her most recent endeavor is the next iteration of TIBA, a boutique spa and wellness center that offers clients an atmosphere of calm and intimacy, born from Nuhad’s four decades of experience in the spa industry, including three previous successful spa creations within Nashville.
Originally from Damascus, Syria, Nuhad called several countries home while growing up in the Middle East. Following the loss of her father, she and her mother moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1965, where her brothers attended Vanderbilt University.
A dream that began in Damascus came to fruition in the United States: her aspiration to own a high-end, European-style beauty institute. This vision materialized with her first store in the 1980s and the establishment of TIBA in 1994, offering Nashville a state-of-the-art spa experience.
Three Decade Career Spent Bringing a Dream to Life
Khoury’s vision for TIBA was transformative, incorporating the desires of her clientele through extensive research in beauty and health practices. This led to a comprehensive spa experience that included a retail space, a bistro, fitness programs, and advanced skin and body treatments.
In 2008, she rebranded TIBA as Tiba Nu, creating a private oasis focused on ancient practices of health and wellness. This approach continued to prioritize creating a serene environment for clientele.
TIBA’s New Location
In 2022, Nuhad began searching for a new property for TIBA in Berry Hill, continuing her legacy of personalized services. The new location is designed to be a luxury boutique spa, complete with innovative wellness treatments that are new to Nashville, including bespoke biohacking technology and advanced facials.
