FitNOLA Spring Season Kickoff and Health Expo Announced
The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission has officially announced the FitNOLA Spring Season Kickoff and Health Expo, set to take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025. This lively event will be hosted at the Rosenwald Recreation Center, located at 1140 S. Broad St., between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The health expo is designed to be a free, family-friendly event and is open to all residents eager to enhance their health and fitness.
What to Expect at the Health Expo
Attendees can participate in an array of group exercise sessions led by local fitness partners, including Shaolin NOLA, ANEW Fitness, By Our Hands Wellness, CrossFit NOLA, and Footprints to Fitness.
In addition, multiple organizations will showcase health resources and wellness activities, such as:
- No Wrap/No Tap (CrescentCare)
- All of Us/LSU Health Sciences Center
- New Orleans East Hospital
- Bike Easy
- STRIVE
- Heart N’ Hands
- Ochsner Health
Moreover, Ochsner Health will offer biometric screenings including cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure checks, accompanied by personalized consultations. To facilitate participation, attendees are encouraged to pre-register online for expedited entry, although walk-ins are also welcomed.
