New Special Economic Zone Approved: Blue Tech City in Chachoengsao

The Policy Committee of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) has taken a significant step towards economic advancement by approving the establishment of a new special economic zone known as Blue Tech City, located in Chachoengsao province. During a meeting held at Government House on Wednesday, the committee, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira, made this landmark decision to develop Blue Tech City on a sprawling 1,174-rai property in Tambon Khao Din, Bang Pakong district.
Chula Sukmanop, secretary-general of the EEC Office, shared insights on this exciting development after the meeting. He explained that the new zone will focus on advanced sectors, stating, ‘Blue Tech City will house factories for future mobility, smart electronics, aviation and logistics, and the digital industry.’ This ambitious project aims to attract investments and create job opportunities, positioning Chachoengsao as a key player in Thailand’s economic landscape.
As the government seeks to enhance the nation’s economic potential, the establishment of Blue Tech City marks a vital move towards fostering innovation and boosting various industries.
