Ave Maria’s Growth Calls for Enhanced Health Services

New Immediate Care Clinic Coming to Ave Maria, Florida: Enhancing Local Healthcare Access

With the population of Ave Maria steadily increasing, health care services have become a crucial need. NCH, a nonprofit hospital system, is joining forces with Barron Collier Companies to address this demand by establishing an immediate care clinic in the Midtown Plaza on Ave Maria Boulevard.

The clinic is set to offer treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, alongside specialist visits on a rotational basis. Covering 6,000 square feet, the clinic reflects a growing commitment to local healthcare.

Enhancing Healthcare Access for Residents

Currently, Ave Maria residents have limited options for medical care, often requiring travel or using the Mater Dei Clinic. Barron Collier Companies and NCH’s new venture is expected to significantly reduce commute times for residents seeking medical assistance. A future 24-hour emergency room is also in planning stages, underscoring the commitment to community health.

A Vibrant Community’s Commitment to Health

Ave Maria, known for its family-friendly atmosphere, has been recognized as a top planned community. Established by the Ave Maria Development Company and founded by renowned philanthropist Tom Monaghan, the community has grown to include 5,200 homes, with projections reaching 11,000.

Blake Gable, CEO of Barron Collier Companies, expressed his enthusiasm: ‘Together, we’ve reached a remarkable milestone that reflects our commitment to prioritizing health and wellness for residents of Ave Maria and eastern Collier County.’

NCH’s Staffing Plans at the Clinic

The NCH clinic will be staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and support staff, accommodating specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, and sports medicine. Jonathan Kling, COO of NCH, commented on the growth of the community, stating, ‘The number of families moving in every year and the distance from healthcare makes this something that is really needed for our community.’
