The Buzz of the Expo
The bustling halls of the Anaheim Convention Center were alive with energy as the Natural Products Expo West 2025 kicked off, bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, and eco-conscious consumers from around the globe. The air buzzed with anticipation, with each booth showcasing groundbreaking products, sustainable practices, and the latest trends in health and wellness. Amid the vibrant displays of plant-based foods, organic beauty products, and cutting-edge supplements, attendees eagerly exchanged ideas, sparking conversations that promised to shape the future of the natural products industry. In this whirlwind of discovery and opportunity, one thing was clear: the movement toward a healthier, more sustainable world had never felt so unstoppable.
Showcasing Innovation
Expo West showcased over 3,000 brands, featuring a wide range of products in categories like natural and specialty food and beverages, supplements, personal care, organic, and lifestyle. A record 30% of these brands were newcomers to the event, reflecting the continued growth in this sector. The 44th edition attracted more than 64,000 attendees from the health and nutrition sectors, with nearly two-thirds of them being qualified buyers, including retailers, distributors, hosted buyers, and food service providers. These staggering numbers prove that this is the premier destination for connecting with natural, organic, and healthy lifestyle buyers. In addition to the great products being introduced, many education sessions were held, including the State of the Industry for Vitamins & Supplements and the State of Natural Products in 2025.
Highlighting Leading Brands
MALK Organics, a leading plant-based milk brand, remained a focal point at Expo West. MALK defines what Expo West is all about, created as a clean alternative to other milks, starting at farmers’ markets and organically growing as people valued MALK’s simple and clean ingredient list. They announced the launch of two new 100% clean-label products: Unsweetened Organic Coconut and Unsweetened Organic Soy, both aligning with MALK’s commitment to delivering the cleanest plant-based milks. “What we say at MALK is we want our products as close to mother nature as possible, with as few ingredients as possible,” said Jason Bronstad, CEO of MALK.
Another noteworthy brand, Positive Beverage, showcased rebranded products emphasizing health-conscious hydration and energy drinks with clean ingredients. “We target consumers who care about what they are putting into their bodies,” noted Shannon Argyros, CEO and Co-Founder.
Four Sigmatic, the leading functional coffee brand, prepared to launch 11 new products by summer 2025, expanding its range of customizable beverages with functional mushrooms and adaptogens to support well-being.
