Lam Khlong Ngu National Park has recently announced the temporary closure of two popular caves, Sao Hin Cave and Nok Nang Ane (Swiftlet) Cave, due to safety concerns related to heavy rainfall and subsequent runoff. The decision was made public on Wednesday and will remain in effect from Thursday until further notice.
Safety First: Protecting Visitors from the Elements
Akkhanit Klangpraphan, the head of the park, emphasized that the closures were a precautionary measure in response to warnings issued by the Office of National Water Resources. The agency has forecast potential flash floods and landslides across several districts, including Thong Pha Phum, Sai Yok, Bo Phloi, Si Sawat, Sangkhla Buri, Nong Prue, and Mueang, as a result of prolonged rainfall.
This thoughtful approach ensures that park visitors remain safe amidst unpredictable weather conditions.
