NBA superstar Kyrie Irving is facing a lawsuit filed by a health and wellness company, Elite Mind Solutions, for an outstanding payment of nearly $400,000. The complaint stems from a family retreat hosted by Irving from June 28 to July 2, 2024.
Initially, Irving indicated that approximately 50-60 guests would attend. However, the number of attendees skyrocketed to 115, with claims that a total of 150 individuals were present.

The lawsuit alleges that all therapeutic services promised were delivered, including crisis management after a tragic incident at the retreat. Following the death of a participant on June 30, therapist Natasha McCartney provided essential support, including grief counseling.
Despite receiving multiple invoices totaling $390,710, Irving reportedly failed to settle the payments.
Attorney Michael Faragalla, representing McCartney, stated, ‘After making direct contact with Kyrie Irving and his associates, Mr. Irving put it all off on his supporting cast. He even failed to pick up the phone and call Natasha McCartney, so he didn’t make any effort to resolve the situation prior to the actual filing of the lawsuit.’
Additionally, the lawsuit highlights that McCartney coordinated the aftermath of the unfortunate event, ensuring that the family was supported during a difficult time.
Irving, who previously played four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets, currently averages 24.8 points and 5.6 assists per game while playing for the Dallas Mavericks.
