JPS Health Network Celebrates New Medical Home Opening in Southwest Tarrant County
On December 18, JPS Health Network proudly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the future opening of its new facility, Medical Home Southwest Tarrant. This state-of-the-art healthcare center is designed to serve the residents of southwest Tarrant County and expand the healthcare network’s reach within the community.
The completion of this medical home is a significant milestone in JPS Health Network’s long-term Master Facility Plan, which seeks to improve access to high-quality care in the region. The event also recognized Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks and gathered local residents, healthcare professionals, and community leaders for the occasion.
Dr. Karen Duncan, President and CEO of JPS, stated, ‘Medical Home Southwest Tarrant was established to improve access to care for our growing community in southwest Tarrant County. By integrating primary care, behavioral health, and other essential services under one roof, we are breaking down barriers to care and empowering our patients to lead healthier lives.’
This new facility is slated to open in the New Year, serving as a central hub for comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare. The design focuses on accessibility and improving health outcomes, offering a wide range of services in one location, including primary care, behavioral health, x-ray, ultrasound, laboratory diagnostics, and a community education space for health and wellness initiatives. It will also house specialists in cardiology, gastroenterology, and optometry, along with a full-service drive-through pharmacy and specialty pharmacy services.
The ribbon-cutting event underlined JPS’s commitment to advancing healthcare equity and preparing for the future needs of the community. For more information about JPS Health Network’s ongoing initiatives, visit YestoJPS.org.
