Jim Thompson is venturing into uncharted waters with its latest collaboration with SARRAN, a Thai jeweller famed for creating wearable art. The result is the newly launched “Arun” collection, which reimagines the luxurious silk synonymous with Jim Thompson into striking jewellery pieces. This collection embodies contemporary Thai beauty and the elegance of femininity through its iconic designs.
Each item in the “Arun” collection showcases the extraordinary potential of silk, proving that it extends beyond traditional garments to become a medium for innovative jewellery. Utilizing SARRAN’s renowned techniques, the collection features graceful and sharp forms that highlight the exquisite artistry involved.
Rich hues of orange, gold, and blue—hallmarks of Jim Thompson’s palette—are woven throughout a variety of jewellery items including earrings, ear cuffs, and brooches. In crafting this collection, SARRAN has sourced local artisans to collaborate on the complex task of transforming silk into stunning jewellery pieces. Traditional Thai techniques such as embroidery, silk threading, and fabric pleating are meticulously integrated, showcasing the rich craftsmanship inherent in Thai culture.
Notably, each accessory within the Jim Thompson X SARRAN collection features hand-painted fabric patterns and is adorned with carefully selected gemstones, enhancing the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.

What sets this collection apart is the incorporation of “Ob Rum“, an age-old technique from the Ayutthaya period that infuses silk with fragrance, providing a unique tactile experience that complements its visual appeal.

The Arun collection includes a stunning range of jewellery items, featuring:
- Arun Single Flower Earring: Available in three sizes—small, medium, and large—and in three signature shades: Sunrise Orange, Twilight Blue, and Prosperous Yellow.
- Arun Flower Earrings with Dangling Accents: Offered in both short and long styles in the three signature shades, featuring silk-crafted petals decorated with zircon and natural stones.
- Arun Flower Ear Cuff: Available in both single-flower and dangling designs.
- Flower Duo Brooch and Pins: Available in three sizes, with the large size offered exclusively in Sunrise Orange.
The limited-edition Arun collection was launched on April 1, available at the Jim Thompson Iconic Store (Heritage Quarter branch), Surawong Flagship Store, ICONSIAM, and Siam Paragon.
