How is the Health and Wellness Foundation of Pike County celebrating its 20th anniversary?

Introduction

PIKE COUNTY, Ill. — The Health and Wellness Foundation of Pike County (HWFPC) is now accepting applications for its two competitive grants: the Healthy Community Grant and Health Catalyst Grant.

Celebrating 20 Years of Service

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the foundation has increased the maximum amount of each grant award by $5,000. This means the maximum award for each Healthy Community Grant is now $12,500, while the Health Catalyst Grant can go up to $20,000.

Patty McIntosh, HWFPC executive director, stated, “When we began making our first grant awards in 2004, we could not have imagined the collective positive impact the foundation would have on Pike County. Awarding just under $2 million in funding toward health-related projects over the years has been remarkable.”

Who Can Apply?

All not-for-profit organizations or equivalents aiming to provide services or programs that enhance the health and wellness of Pike County are encouraged to apply. The deadline for application submission is August 31, with grant recipients announced in October 2024.
