Heart Evangelista Reflects on a Health Scare
On December 1, 2024, Heart Evangelista made an emotional revelation regarding Senator Chiz Escudero’s serious health scare during an episode of her show “Heart World.” The incident served as an alarming wake-up call for the couple, reminding them of the importance of health and family.
Heart shared, ‘I kinda saw it coming. First, wala siyang tulog lagi so he wasn’t really able to sleep. I felt as if he’s not being careful with his health.’ The actress recounted that she first noticed something unusual about Chiz during a conversation the night before her trip to Thailand.
She continued, ‘The last time I spoke to him, I saw something off in his eyes, and even though he said it was just moisturizer, I had a weird feeling. The next day, I noticed a distinct change in his appearance during our video call.’ This prompted Heart to cut her trip short and fly back to Manila immediately.
Describing the ordeal, Heart stated, ‘It was a nightmare. He is someone you would least expect to be in such a situation.’ Chiz had experienced a hypertensive episode, a condition he had been diagnosed with two years prior.
The episode led Heart to rethink her priorities. ‘What I realized is aanhin mo lahat ng ‘to kung wala ka namang taong you’d like to share it with. For me, your time here on Earth with your loved ones is far more important than all the riches,’ she emphasized. She acknowledged that life is precious, urging everyone to make the most of their time.
Heart also expressed her commitment to improving Chiz’s wellbeing, stating, ‘Because if he goes, I go. You jump, I jump. I swear. Ako na lang mauna, ‘di ko talaga kaya.’ Her genuine concern highlights the deep bond they share.
“Heart World” premiered on October 26 and airs on GMA Network every Saturday at 9:30 PM.
