HCA Healthcare Named One of the 2025 World’s Most Ethical Companies

HCA Healthcare has announced its recognition as one of the 2025 World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere, marking its fifteenth time receiving this esteemed honor. The organization is acclaimed for its ethical business practices, transparency, and commitment to fostering a culture of integrity.

‘It is an honor to be named as a World’s Most Ethical Company again this year. This achievement is truly a reflection of the collective commitment of our colleagues to the culture and values of HCA Healthcare.’

— Sam Hazen, CEO of HCA Healthcare

The selection process implemented by Ethisphere serves as a comprehensive framework designed to encapsulate and record best-in-class ethics and compliance practices from various organizations worldwide. The evaluation employs Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient, which necessitates companies to present over 240 proof points that demonstrate their commitment to ethics and compliance ventures, governance, and environmental and social impacts.

‘This recognition reinforces our dedication to maintaining high standards for ourselves as we strive for excellence for our patients and colleagues. Maintaining the trust of those we serve is fundamental to who we are at HCA Healthcare and we are proud to be named as a World’s Most Ethical Company for the 15th year.’

— Wendy Warren, Senior Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer

Commitment to Community and Ethics

HCA Healthcare has long been committed to positively impacting the communities it serves. In the previous year, the organization, along with the HCA Healthcare Foundation, contributed over $48 million to various community programs nationwide. The HCA Healthcare Foundation Healthier Tomorrow Fund allocated approximately $6.4 million in grants to assist nonprofits focused on heart health, mental wellness, and fighting food insecurity.

The company’s outreach extended to community relief efforts, where HCA Healthcare responded to the devastation from hurricanes Helene and Milton by deploying over 700 colleagues to assist impacted areas and donating upwards of $1.5 million to various organizations for disaster relief. Their Hope Fund, a charity run by HCA employees for their colleagues, has provided over $115 million in grants since its inception.

HCA Healthcare also collaborates with the American Red Cross to enhance disaster preparedness and relief, providing nearly $8 million over eight years to support the humanitarian organization’s efforts.
