A new “boochery” and taproom just opened in Boise.
Located along Curtis Road just off the connector, Boise Booch makes alcoholic and regular kombucha with a variety of flavors.
What Does Boise Booch Offer?
“We make both alcohol-free and hard kombucha, as well as have a couple of guest taps from other local kombucha companies,” owner and brewer Katie Powell said. “It is really important to provide a space for everyone to gather and have that ‘brewery/tasting room’ experience whether they drink alcohol or not.”
The Dream Behind Boise Booch
Powell says she has been dreaming of opening a so-called boochery for about three years.
“I’ve been an athlete my whole life, so health and wellness are very important to me, but I also really enjoy connecting with people over a couple of drinks,” Powell said. “It was a lightbulb moment that put a lot of pieces of my life together beautifully.”
Where Can You Find Boise Booch?
In addition to finding Boise Booch at the new taproom and on its website, it can be found at the Boise Farmer’s Market, Bert’s Brewing, Hap Hap, Yard Arm, Bear Island Brewing, and Blue Pit Brewing in Mountain Home.
What to Expect at Boise Booch
“People can expect a comfortable, inviting experience when they come to Boise Booch,” she said. “My husband and I are both born and raised Boiseans and want to embody the friendliness and kindness that we have known and loved about this city for almost 40 years.”
Boise Booch is located at 520 N. Curtis Rd and is open Thursday through Sunday. Wine, beer, and other drinks are also available.
