Griffin Health Offers Support to Valley Seniors
This December, Griffin Health and the Agency on Aging of South-Central Connecticut are making strides to promote emotional wellness among seniors in the Valley. They will be hosting a series of events focused on teaching valuable coping skills and offering essential health screenings.
Event Details
The upcoming emotional wellness talks will take place on the following dates:
- Mon., Dec. 2 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Seymour Senior Center
- Thurs., Dec. 5 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Ansonia Senior Center
- Wed., Dec. 18 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Shelton Senior Center
- Thurs., Dec. 19 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Derby Neck Library
During these sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with caregivers from Griffin Health, who will also be providing free blood pressure screenings and personalized health consultations. These events are designed to alleviate stress and promote emotional well-being in the senior community.
About the AgeWell Program
The Emotional Wellness events are part of the AgeWell program, co-sponsored by Griffin Health and the Agency on Aging. This initiative aims to enhance access to healthcare and prevent disease through monthly health screenings and educational sessions. Participants may also receive healthy meals as part of the program.
