In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare access for union members, the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council (MACRC) and Premise Health celebrated the grand opening of the Carpenters Wellness Center in Kansas City. This state-of-the-art medical facility exclusively serves over 4,750 union members and their families.
Located at 8965 E. 38 Terrace, the wellness center opens its doors weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering same or next-day appointments at no out-of-pocket cost. MACRC Regional Director Rocky Kloth expressed, ‘The opening of the Carpenters Wellness Center is the culmination of careful planning and cooperation by organizations intent on providing high-quality and accessible care.’ He emphasized the commitment to supporting the health and well-being of union families.
A Comprehensive Care Approach
The wellness center features a full team of six licensed Premise providers who deliver a variety of services. These include primary and preventive care, pediatric services, behavioral health, chiropractic care, and x-ray imaging. Additionally, nursing support extends after hours to accommodate members with varied schedules.
