Lyn Savage’s story is one of resilience and profound transformation. While imprisoned in Bali, Indonesia, for a year, Savage managed to escape the shadows of despair and discover her true calling as a yoga teacher. This unexpected path arose from her determination to live a life centered around health and wellness, away from her previous career in TV production.
Born in Singapore, Savage has battled with anxiety and mild depression since her late teens. She moved to Hong Kong in 2006 to pursue a career producing commercials and documentaries. However, the pressures of this environment took a toll on her mental health.
In 2012, during a particularly stressful work period, she suffered an anxiety attack. Her father rushed her to the hospital, where she spent two months in a psychiatric ward, “pumped with antidepressants, and hated it,” she reflected. This experience instilled in her a fierce determination to manage her mental health better and ignited her dream of starting a holistic wellness business.

To pursue this dream, Savage took a significant step in 2017 by taking time off from work to study massage therapy in Bali, a decision that proved life-changing but not in the way she anticipated. It was during this time that she learned about the calming powers of yoga and decided to embrace another aspect of wellness.
Her story resonates with many who face similar challenges, showing that even in the darkest moments, there can be a pathway to healing and purpose.
