Elements of Eden Opens in Glencoe, Bringing Wellness Services

Recently, Glencoe welcomed a new health and wellness destination as Elements of Eden officially opened its doors.
Owner Gizelle Erickson, a professional with more than 20 years in the wellness and massage therapy industry, has established the spa and massage center in downtown Glencoe. Elements of Eden offers an array of services, including massage therapy, comprehensive spa treatments, and nutrition and wellness coaching.
Erickson, a certified massage therapist trained at the Everest Institute, explained her innovative approach, which combines myofascial release with deep-tissue massage. She said, ‘This technique allows me to access muscle tissue in a gentle manner, enabling me to achieve effective results without the usual resistance from the muscles.’
The center also provides spa wraps, body scrubs, and nutritional coaching, ensuring each client enjoys a personalized experience. Spa treatments utilize materials like clay and seaweed, which create a soothing cocoon-like feeling, particularly welcomed during the winter months.
When discussing her nutritional philosophy, Erickson stated, ‘I don’t embrace fads or trendy diets. It’s about understanding how your body processes the nutrition you consume.’
Qualified in plant-based medicine and nutrition through Cornell University, Erickson offers coaching for healthy eating habits, tailored to individual needs.
Alongside her wellness offerings, Erickson is also a Reiki master for clients seeking more holistic approaches to their health.
Elements of Eden has been the name under which Erickson operated since 2006, previously serving communities in Hawkins, Plymouth, and Edina before relocating to Glencoe to be near her grandchildren. She expressed her appreciation for the local community, saying, ‘I love the friendliness and kindness – it feels like a cozy little community.’
The spa opened its doors earlier this week, welcoming its first clients on Monday. ‘After my first appointment, I couldn’t help but feel joyful,’ Erickson remarked.
Clients often arrive with unexplained discomfort, but Erickson noted that through her massage techniques, many leave feeling deeply relaxed and cared for. ‘I find great joy in being able to positively influence someone’s day through my work,’ she added.
Located at 806 12th Street East, Elements of Eden is situated within an office building near the intersection of 12th Street and Hennepin Avenue, across from the railroad tracks. To assist new clients, Erickson is offering a 30% discount through a promotional QR code, with detailed services and pricing available on her website at elements-of-eden.com. Prospective clients can also reach her directly at 612-964-7357 for bookings or inquiries.
