NEWPORT, Ky. – The Cincinnati Bengals are continuing their commitment to community engagement by participating in the NFL’s Play 60 campaign. On Tuesday, Bengals players, including Maema Njongmeta, Ryan Rehkow, Jay Tufele, and Cedric Johnson, met with around 90 children at the Clem and Ann Buenger Boys and Girls Club.
Fresh from their recent victory against the Dallas Cowboys, the players were beaming with enthusiasm as they encouraged the kids to get active and stay healthy. Joining them were the team’s mascot and cheerleaders, all adding to the excitement and spirit of the event.
The NFL’s Play 60 initiative encourages youth to engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day, aimed at combating childhood obesity and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“Play 60 is about empowering kids to stay active, and we’re thrilled to be part of this initiative that inspires the next generation,” shared Njongmeta. The event emphasized the significance of regular physical activity and healthy habits in a fun and engaging manner.
With interactive games and activities, the children were motivated to participate and learn the importance of fitness through play—a message that resonates deeply within the community. The event not only showcased the players’ dedication to youth but also their roles as positive role models.
This partnership between the Bengals and local organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club exemplifies a commitment to building a healthier future for children in the community. The enthusiastic turnout reflects the growing enthusiasm for promoting physical activity among youngsters in the Cincinnati area.
