Partnership with Therapist-Owned Physical Therapy Practice Will Enhance Patient Care in Massachusetts and New York.
Access Physical Therapy & Wellness (ACCESS PT) has announced its acquisition of Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady (PTAS), a respected therapist-owned practice with seven clinics across Massachusetts and New York. This partnership aims to enhance patient care and broaden the availability of services in these regions.

‘We are honored to partner with Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady, a practice that has been a trusted provider of care in their communities since 1982,’ said Christopher Albanese, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of ACCESS PT. ‘By joining forces, we can build on their legacy while enhancing support and resources for their clinical teams. Together, we will prioritize exceptional patient outcomes and strengthen our presence in New York and Massachusetts.’
This acquisition allows PTAS to maintain its high standards of patient care while gaining access to Confluent Health’s management services, talent development, and business tools. PTAS will benefit from a variety of resources, including partnerships with Confluent Health clients, hybrid care platforms, and comprehensive employee safety solutions.
‘This partnership brings together two organizations dedicated to patient-centered care, instilling confidence in the quality of care we provide,’ stated Ed Miersch, Senior Vice President of Outpatient Rehab Companies. ‘We are excited to welcome the team at PTAS to the ACCESS PT family and look forward to supporting their continued success.’
With this expansion, ACCESS PT now operates 73 clinics across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. For more information, visit accessphysicaltherapywellness.com.
