Come join a day of wellness, fun, and community spirit. A free Community Health and Wellness Retreat is planned for Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Bull City Ciderworks located at 599 South Railroad Street in Lexington, N.C. This event is open to the public, offering a day full of wellness activities, fun, and community connections for the entire family. The retreat will feature a variety of activities and experiences designed to support health and well-being, including:

  • Free Health Screenings
  • Beginning Fitness and Yoga Classes
  • Cooking Demonstrations for healthy meal preparation
  • Free Door Prizes and a Scavenger Hunt with exciting giveaways
  • Access to Free Local Health Resources and wellness information
  • Free Food to nourish your body and satisfy your taste buds
  • A State-of-the-Art Mobile Gaming Trailer for family-friendly fun
  • Face Painting for children and families
  • Free Beauty Treatments to help you look and feel your best

Don’t forget to bring non-perishable food items to donate to our Community Table Food Drive benefiting a local food bank. Help us give back to the community while enjoying all the amazing activities that are planned.

Tamika Edwards, event sponsor and co-founder of Phoenix In-Home Care NC, shared her thoughts and excitement about the event. She stated, ‘The wellness event is a chance for the entire community to come together and share in a day of fun and relaxation. The purpose of the wellness event is for everyone to take a day to unplug from all of the sensational events of the world and in their lives and to learn a new and better way of being.’

This retreat is the perfect opportunity for individuals and families to spend a meaningful afternoon learning new health habits, enjoying free services, and connecting with local wellness resources.
