What Services Are Available at the Health Fair?

Introduction

Free health and wellness services will be available for Nueces County residents from July 22-27 through Operation Health and Wellness.

Event Details

The county’s annual health fair is open to the public, featuring eye exams, vaccines, diabetes screening, and more, as well as free vaccinations for cats and dogs. The pop-up clinics will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 27.

Locations and Services

Mission of Mercy
Location: 2421 Ayers St., Corpus Christi
Services: Optometry services, including eye exams and free reading glasses, as well as vouchers for single vision and bifocals while supplies last.

West Oso Junior High School
Location: 5202 Bear Lane, Corpus Christi
Services: General medical services, vaccines, diabetes screenings, behavioral health services, back-to-school physicals, and women’s exams. There will be a pharmacy on site.

Calderon Nueces County Center
Location: 710 E. Main Ave., Robstown
Services: General medical services, vaccines, diabetes screening, behavioral health services, back-to-school physicals, and women’s exams. There will be a pharmacy on site.

Animal Services

Animal services will be available at West Oso Junior High School and Calderon Nueces County Center from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 22-27. No appointment is necessary. Services include rabies vaccines, DA2PP vaccines for dogs, HCP vaccines for cats, and microchipping. A limited number of spay and neuter vouchers will also be available. All dogs must be on a leash, and all cats must be in a carrier.
