The Brazos Valley Mental Health & Wellness group has launched a Women’s Wellness Mini Series for July, focusing on relationships, adapting to change, and self-care.
What is the Series About?
The series includes three sessions throughout July, costing $75 for all or $25 per class. It aims to embrace the community’s women and promote healthier lifestyles. The BVMHW noted that some women can’t afford one-on-one therapy, so this series offers a more affordable option for mental health support.
Why Focus on Women’s Wellness?
“Many times, women go through things and they may not know how to handle or deal with it or even recognize what they’re going through, so again focusing on women’s wellness and their health and mental health, it definitely needs to be a priority,” said Tanisha Pickney, the counseling intern leading the classes.
How to Participate?
The BVMHW will accept walk-ins or purchases over the phone. The classes will be held on July 6, 13, and 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. In August, similar sessions will be held focusing on teachers.
