Grand Opening Celebration for Two New Kings Mountain Businesses

This weekend marks an exciting milestone for Kings Mountain residents as two local entrepreneurs celebrate the grand opening of their new businesses at Suites by Elle Ruth. On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors are invited to 1300 Shelby Road to enjoy various festivities.

Creations by Chelsey and Lush Med Spa & Drip Bar are hosting a grand opening event that promises something for everyone. Attendees can savor delicious offerings from the Little Annie Waffles food truck, take advantage of special deals, and participate in exciting shopping opportunities and giveaways.

Heather Rudnick McDowell, a seasoned nurse with 15 years of experience in the healthcare field, has transformed her passion into a business with the launch of Lush Med Spa & Drip Bar. After years of bedside care and administration, McDowell decided to pivot towards aesthetic medicine and wellness. ‘I’ve always been passionate about helping people,’ she stated. ‘Nursing allowed me to care for patients in many different ways, but aesthetic treatments revealed an entirely new avenue to enhance confidence.’

Originally opening in March 2024 in Shelby, McDowell was thrilled by the positive feedback from the community. With the new Kings Mountain location, she views this as an opportunity to reconnect with her roots. ‘It feels like a full-circle moment,’ she noted.

Lush Med Spa & Drip Bar offers an array of services, including Botox, dermal fillers, and IV drips, aimed at promoting overall wellness. ‘I want everyone who walks through our doors to feel seen, heard, and cared for,’ she emphasized.

In addition to Lush Med Spa, the grand opening will showcase Creations by Chelsey, a boutique that specializes in custom monogrammed clothing and a variety of fashionable items. Founder Chelsey Gilliam, who began her journey creating crafts as a child, expressed her excitement: ‘I am grateful for the journey God has guided me through. I take pleasure in interacting with the community and witnessing the confidence boost in women when they try on attire that makes them feel exceptional.’

As both businesses mark the beginning of their journeys in Kings Mountain, the grand opening is not only a celebration of their accomplishments but also an invitation for the community to support local entrepreneurship.
