Fayetteville’s Annual Step Up 4 Health and Wellness Expo Returns to Methodist University

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Methodist University is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Step Up 4 Health and Wellness Expo on April 12, an event organized by the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation that attracts community members striving for better health.

Distinguished for its family-friendly atmosphere, the expo will feature a 4K run and one-mile walk, in addition to numerous activities designed to engage participants of all ages. The event is free to the public, with only a registration fee for those participating in the races.

Last year, over 1,000 visitors attended the event, which generates funds for critical health services including the Cape Fear Valley Health Friends of Cancer Center, Children’s Services, and more. This year’s activities promise to be just as impactful, with registration opening at 9 a.m. and ceremonies commencing at 9:30 a.m.

As noted by Ashley Lee, community engagement coordinator for Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, ‘This is a chance for everybody in the community to get together and access health resources and screenings at no cost.’ She added, ‘We are grateful to Methodist University for their partnership in this important journey towards health awareness.’

The expo will be set across the sprawling 600-acre Methodist University campus with the Duggins Soccer Stadium serving as the hub for activities, including information booths, food trucks, and entertainment for all families. Join in a day dedicated to health, wellness, and community spirit.
