Memorial Hospital Offers Healthy Meal Workshop in Carthage, Illinois

CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital’s Health and Wellness Center will host a Meals with Memorial: Prep and Go! workshop on Thursday, March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Teaching Kitchen located at 1454 N. County Road 2050.

This interactive workshop aims to assist participants in preparing 10 nutritious meals that they can take home, offering a convenient solution for busy nights. It will be led by experienced registered dietitians Ashlyn Housewright and Julie Shoemaker, along with Chef Amber Clark.

For a fee of $200, participants can prepare 10 meals, which breaks down to $5 or less per serving. Each meal can serve 4 to 6 people and includes a variety of dishes such as:

  • Beef Ragu
  • BBQ Pulled Pork
  • Chicken French Dip Sandwiches
  • Fiesta Chicken
  • Meatball Vegetable Soup
  • Tortellini Sausage Skillet
  • Breakfast Burritos
  • Shrimp Fajitas
  • Chicken Gnocchi Soup
  • Slow Cooker Pepper Steak
