Rio Grande City Public Library Launches Free Health and Wellness Series
The Rio Grande City Public Library, in collaboration with Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, has introduced an exciting health and wellness series aimed at fostering community education and engagement.
The program, scheduled for every Wednesday in March from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., is designed to cover crucial health topics that can significantly impact individuals’ lives. Sessions will address matters such as blood pressure management, self-breast examinations, hydration and infused waters, diabetic foot care, stress management, self-care, and meditation techniques.
Norma Fultz, director of the library, stated, ‘This initiative is part of our commitment to making the library a hub for lifelong learning and community support. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from healthcare professionals and make informed choices about their health.’
These sessions are completely free and open to the public, reaffirming the library’s commitment as a resource for both education and local wellness. Community members interested in participating can obtain more details by calling 956-487-4389.
