Saran Health and Wellness Center Receives National Quality Assurance Certification

Saran Health and Wellness Center NQAS Certification

Chhapra: The health and wellness center of Shahpur in the Sonepur block of Saran district has achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the first center in the state of Bihar to receive the National Quality Assurance Certification (NQAS). This accolade was awarded in 2025, with the center scoring an impressive 91% on its evaluation.

The certificate was presented to Dr. Sagar Dulal Sinha, the civil surgeon of Saran, during a ceremony attended by various health officials. In remarks during the event, Health Minister Mangal Pandey stated, ‘This certificate symbolizes the enhancement of regional health services. This health center serves as an example for others across the state. With this certification, we expect it to deliver improved healthcare to its patients.’

The ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir’ offers a variety of medical services, providing patients with 12 different types of healthcare including access to 151 medications, 14 diagnostic tests, immunization, family welfare services, and outpatient services.

Congratulating the staff of the center, Dr. Sinha remarked, ‘This recognition imposes a responsibility on us to maintain our standards moving forward.’ He expressed hope that this achievement would enhance the skills of the medical staff and strengthen the relationship between doctors and patients.

Additionally, District Project Coordinator Ramesh Chandra Kumar noted that the department is now planning to acquire National NQAS for other health and wellness centers in the district, enhancing patient confidence in these facilities.
