Inova Fairfax Opens New Children’s Emergency Room

FAIRFAX, Va. (7News) — Inova Fairfax has officially opened its much-anticipated children’s emergency room. The new facility, located off Gallows and Blue Roads, is designed to provide specialized care for pediatric patients.

Victoria Sanchez, a health and wellness reporter at 7News, had the opportunity to tour the facility, which boasts a kid-friendly lobby equipped with the latest medical technology and spacious hospital rooms.

This dedicated emergency room offers a separate entrance for children, a significant change from the previous setup where adults and pediatric patients shared the same entrance. Shayna Dixon, the Clinical Director, shared her enthusiasm, saying, ‘We finally have a separate emergency room entrance to support the children in our community.’
