Orbite Secures $4 Million in Series A Funding
Orbite, a premier space training and operations company for space explorers, has announced the successful completion of a $4 million Series A funding round. This round saw participation from both existing and new investors, signaling strong confidence in the company’s vision.
Expanding Opportunities in Space Training
This new influx of capital will enable Orbite to scale its operations significantly, amplifying its sales and marketing efforts while advancing pre-development for its inaugural Spaceflight Gateway Campus. Importantly, Orbite revealed a strategic partnership with Accor, a leader in the global hospitality sector, aimed at enhancing the development and operations of the Spaceflight Gateway campus.
A Unique Training Experience
Orbite has also introduced the “Experience Train Fly Program,” offering a luxurious suite of offerings that immerses guests in space exploration. These carefully curated experiences include tailored training for varying levels of space readiness and customized flight missions for adventurers and space enthusiasts alike.
Nasa and other space agencies typically invest years into training astronaut candidates before their first missions. Orbite’s immersive astronaut training programs recreate this rigorous experience for sophisticated guests, presenting a holistic blend of education, training, health, and wellness.
Future Programs and Offerings
Scheduled to begin in 2025, Orbite’s Experience Train Fly Programs will facilitate exclusive astronaut training and space exploration journeys, with customers now able to secure participation in:
- Living in Space: An immersive journey into future space habitats in Paris, France.
- Space Health: A specialized wellness program focused on the physical demands of space in Curaçao, Caribbean.
- Sea-Space Odyssey: Exploring uncharted environments deeper than outer space, also in Curaçao.
Additional experiences and customized training programs will be rolled out in the upcoming months.
