Kroger Hosts Vaccination Wellness Day to Promote Flu Shots

DALLAS, Texas — Kroger is stepping up its efforts to combat the flu season by hosting a Vaccination Wellness Day on Saturday, October 5, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. This initiative will be available at stores throughout North Texas, East Texas, and Northwest Louisiana.

Jeff Loesch, Health and Wellness Leader for Kroger’s Dallas Division, stated, ‘We are encouraging our customers and our associates to take a shot to improve your health ahead of flu season.’ To make this initiative more appealing, those who receive a flu shot during the event will be rewarded with a $5 off coupon for Kroger stores. Additionally, anyone who opts to receive other vaccines will receive a $20 off coupon.

Loesch emphasized the importance of vaccinations, saying, ‘Vaccines are critical to help individuals and communities prevent the spread of seasonal viruses such as the flu. Not only are you protecting yourself, but you are protecting others from what can become a serious illness and even lead to death for seniors and those with compromised immune systems.’

The Vaccination Wellness Day will offer a variety of vaccines, including the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine, the RSV vaccine, and vaccines against shingles, tetanus, and several others. However, this promotion is specifically for individuals under 65 who are not eligible for federally funded health programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.
