Amanda “Mandie” Birchem Receives Prestigious Pinnacle Award
Amanda “Mandie” Birchem, the Director of Health and Wellness at Kavod Senior Life, has recently achieved significant recognition by being awarded a
Pinnacle Award from the International Council of Active Aging (ICAA) and NuStep LLC.
Birchem’s work in advancing wellness initiatives at Kavod earned her the distinction of being one of five winners in the Best Wellness Director category across North America.
The ICAA NuStep awards recognize senior living communities, wellness directors, and executives whose contribution to promoting wellness stands out as exemplary within the active-aging sector.
“We are so proud of Mandie for earning this distinction,” states Kara Harvey, Chief Operating Officer at Kavod. “Her work is no less than stellar in helping our residents live their best and healthiest life here in their Kavod home.”
The award announcement came from Colin Milner, CEO of the ICAA, and Jane Benskey, Marketing Communications Specialist at NuStep, emphasizing the importance of Birchem’s leadership in enhancing the lives of older adults.
As part of her role, Birchem has helped create a wellness center, develop activities, and lead a team of health professionals at Kavod, where she has worked for nine years.
The recognition will be highlighted in a video announcement at the ICAA conference in Raleigh, North Carolina, scheduled for November 18, 2024.
